Book Guild of Madurai will facilitate exchange of ideas and experiences in book reading and kindle the passion for book writing towards personal and social enrichment. It will strive to create a congenial environment to promote enrichment of quality of life by reaching out through the world of books.
Course of Initiatives
Promote & Provide
- Promote the habit of book reading among the people, particularly the youth and children.
- Provide a forum for sharing book reviews and engage in meaningful dialogue or group activities on the same.
Madurai at heart
- Facilitate book launches and hold exhibition of books in institutional and social setups.
- Popularize book reading sessions in public spaces and festivals around Madurai.
- Establish a forum of booklovers network to promote the heritage and tourist highlights of the region around Madurai.
Activities
- Conduct technical and professional sessions on book reading, writing and publishing on a periodic basis.
- Organise literary quiz and writing competition to encourage young readers and authors.
- The activities will be conducted / organized through physical and virtual mode inclusive of mainstream and digital media.

Application from prospective members received will be appraised by the appraisal team at BGM and the admission status will be communicated. The right to admission is reserved.
